Tales from the Road

Watkins Glen

September 16, 2022

Everyone was healthy today so we squeezed in all the ‘one lasts’ before we head out tomorrow. The boys played one last football game in the big field. One last trip to the vineyard for some more Concord grapes. One last set of chocolate chip cookies from the campground store. One last hike. And one last dinner out!

We finally hiked the much anticipated Watkins Glen Gorge and it did not disappoint. The beauty was magnificent. We hiked passed 19 waterfalls, beautiful rock formations, stone tunnels, a spiraled staircase, stone bridges, and lots of stone steps (832 to be exact!).  We were in awe of God’s beauty around every corner!

And of course, one last campfire while we started to pack up!
